- Pregnant Woman and Two Children Seriously Injured in Phoenix Car Accident | Legal News | News Ticker
Long holiday weekends always seem to bring about the worst in terms of traffic news, and this year’s Thanksgiving holiday weekend closed on a very sad note when a Phoenix car accident that occurred on Sunday night seriously injured a pregnant woman and two children who were riding in her vehicle. Police are continuing to investigate this multi-vehicle Phoenix car accident, and at this point no names have been released and no official fault has been assigned in response to this incident.
According to police, the latest Phoenix car accident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday night on the Loop 101 near 27th Avenue. Few details regarding the collision were available, but one of the vehicles involved in the crash reportedly caught fire after the impact. A pregnant woman and two children who are 10 and 6 years old were rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. No word was given regarding their prognoses, and the cause of the crash has yet to be made public if it’s known at all.
Arizona Car Accident Statistics
First and foremost, we’d like to offer our sincere hope that all of the people who were injured in this Phoenix car accident are able to recover from their injuries, and we also hope that the pregnancy with which the woman is involved is not put at risk as a result of this crash. In addition, this incident will now become part of the overall statistics regarding Arizona car accidents. Every year, more than 140,000 such crashes occur, leading to more than 65,000 injuries and to more than 1,000 fatalities.
Phoenix Car Accident Lawyers
Clearly, more facts would need to be made available before any legal analysis could be completed. However, if those people who were seriously injured were not at fault for the collision, it’s possible that Arizona personal injury lawsuits could be filed against the party or parties that were at fault. If these claims are filed and are successful, they could lead to awards of damages that compensate those who were harmed for their medical costs, lost income for the adults and pain and suffering.
