- Types of Motorcycle Eye Wear
The Arizona Department of Transportation recorded a total of 3,260 motorcycle accidents in the state of Arizona throughout 2012. Of these accidents, 145 were fatal and 2,717 people were injured. Of these injuries, some included injuries to the eyes, which may have been prevented by wearing proper motorcycle eyewear.
As motorcycles are open to the outdoors, riders are susceptible to objects striking them and striking their eyes, especially if no eyewear is worn. Furthermore, a helmet can be worn in order to protect a rider from forces of the outdoors, while this has also saved thousands of riders lives each and every year.
At Phillips Law Group, our Phoenix motorcycle accident attorneys have sympathy for those injured in motorcycle accidents and believe that if you or a loved one has been injured due to the negligent actions of another individual, the victim may be entitled to compensation for their losses and damages.

Common Types of Motorcycle Eyewear
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, motorcycle eye protection may prevent vision impairment caused by gusts of wind and foreign objects, while also preventing injuries to the eyes.
Some common types of motorcycle eyewear include:
- Face Shields
- Glasses
- Goggles
- Helmets with Visors
- Sunglasses
- Windshields
In order for these to be effective, there are certain specifications a rider should be aware of when preparing to go for a ride. These specifications include:
- Assure eyewear allows air to pass through
- Assure eyewear is secured properly
- Assuring eyewear has clear peripheral vision
- Assuring eyewear is resistant to penetration
- Assuring eyewear is scratch free
It should also be noted that tinted eyewear should not be worn at nighttime as it will reduce a riders visibility. It is also important to select comfortable eye protection and protection that is able to reduce glare.
Common Types of Rider Eye Injuries

Many companies talk about teamwork but few practice it. Many companies talk about an employee friendly environment but few actually provide it. At Phillips Law Group the foundation of our success is making sure we work as a team and that we work in an environment that allows everyone to thrive and be at their best every day. Our firm understands that in order for the client to have a great experience the people responsible for that client’s case must be given all the necessary tools and encouragement to make that happen. That’s the Phillips Way. As a manager of this firm in charge of several employees as well as directly affecting the client’s experience I take tremendous pride in saying we live by these premises and we work hard to build on them and make them better every day. This is an amazing place because it has amazing people working here!

Two family members were in a bad wreck a couple of years ago, and as a result called Phillips Law to represent them. Montana Thompson was the attorney assigned to the case with the help of Nemo Farr as legal assistant. Mr. Thompson litigated a very generous settlement for both my stepdaughter and her son. Because my grandson is a minor, I decided to act as conservator for him to ensure the settlement was safe and secure. Montana helped with that process, but it was Nemo who went way above and beyond the call in finding a financial institution to use for the restricted account. There were some glitches in that process but Nemo helped navigate them with a calm expertise which belies his age. I would consider them both great representatives of the level of commitment to their clients and assets to their firm.

I have been with Phillips Law Group for a little over a year and I have learned what teamwork and family in a workplace looks like. There is always someone around to lend a helping hand, which is something I appreciate and cherish. I feel a sense of joy coming to work every day because of my co-workers as well as being able to help people in what can be a scary and stressful situation. I currently work as a Litigation Legal Assistant with an amazing team. When I started here, I was not very knowledgeable in personal injury. I was lucky to have been placed with an amazing team who was willing to take time to teach and pass on some great skills that have been a huge aid in helping me be successful in my position. I would recommend working here at Phillips Law Group, because they care about their employees and there is so much room for growth.
