The driver lost control of his vehicle, which hit a Toyota parked in the driveway of Mr. Mendez’s home. The Toyota went through the wall of the bedroom along with the SUV and ran over the victim, who died at the scene. The driver was arrested after fleeing the scene on foot on suspicion of manslaughter, leaving the scene of an injury accident, eight counts of endangerment, and criminal damage.
