- Phoenix Hospital Construction Fatality
Few industries in the world are as dangerous as the construction industry, as more people are injured and killed in this line of work than in any other profession. Tragically, that reality was once again hammered home when a construction worker was killed while working on a project at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The worker who was killed was not identified, but these types of situations tend to lead to calls for help toPhoenix wrongful death lawyersin order to obtain guidance.
What Laws May Apply in This Instance?
According to the reports that are available, the worker was killed last week while working for the Kitchell Corporation, a Phoenix-based construction firm that’s been in business for approximately 60 years. What seems somewhat strange is that few if any facts regarding the nature of the Phoenix construction site accident that occurred and how the worker was killed have been released. In addition, the name of the person who was killed has also been withheld. A company spokesperson stated that the process and the investigation was being handled by the firm and the appropriate authorities.
When someone is killed while working on an Arizona construction site, there are two types of laws that could govern the aftermath of the situation. One area of law is worker’s compensation, and this would be an appropriate avenue to pursue if the worker was killed during the normal course of performing his duties and if he or she was killed by workers of the same company who were also within their scope of duties. Arizona has death benefits available that can be obtained, but they must be pursued properly.
Another area of law that could be relevant to a death resulting from an Arizona construction site accident is Arizona personal injury law. This type of law could prevail if the worker was killed by a third party or if he or she was killed because of a dangerous working condition that should have been removed by the employer. These situations generally involve the filing of Arizona wrongful death lawsuits.

Jasmine , did a great job . Highly recommend!!!!!

I tried a few previous law firms and none would take my car accident case with confidence they could get my anything. Phillips law group took my case and although it took around 4 years to get this case settled as I was in treatment, they never let up with insurance adjusters and they got me as much money as possible. They worked hard for me and advocated for me. Shoutout to key individuals who worked my case nonstop of the years, Robert Ross & Jasmine, you are AMAZING!

Juan Roque has been integral with my legal needs. Communication has been easy. He conveys information I can easily understand without a lot of "Legal Fluff" jargon. I will certainly do business with Phillips Legal team again and refer them to my friends and family.

Although my accident was fortunately not a major one, The Phillips Law Group AZ treated it as such. Their staff, specifically Mr Juan Roque was very professional, courteous and most importantly very informative. Mr Roque's attentive service was phenomenal and I highly recommend this firm!

Phillips law group is the best around!

I’ve been working at Phillips Law Group for nearly four years and I can confidently say this is the best personal injury firm in Arizona to work for. The firm is the best for numerous reasons but to start, Phillips Law Group gives employees opportunities for promotions and growth. I started working within the settlement department, moved to a paralegal assistant and grew to be a pre-litigation paralegal with my own case load. Each attorney I have worked for is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to talk to. Secondly, I love how Phillips Law shows appreciation for employees. They host Friday Zoom Huddles giving out PTO, goodie bags, special shout outs, bonuses and gift cards. They also host extravagant holiday parties and fun contests during the Holidays! Lastly, the firm cares about giving back to the community, which is a trait I value as well. It’s rewarding to see a fast paced firm taking time out of their busy day to pay it forward. I would highly recommend working at Phillips Law Group!

They knew exactly how to explain the case to me in a way that I would understand it. They gave me hope that my life wasn’t over.

I want to thank attorneys Tim and Robert and the paralegal Bethany for all they had done on my case. They were all empathetic, knowledgeable and professional. All my questions were answered, emails returned in a timely matter, and promises fulfilled. I recommend Phillips Law Group if you need help with your injury case.

My review is for Kathy Hudson a legal assistant at the law firm. She is great! She is very professional and a fair based person. She was never rude to me and always called me back. She listened to me and had my best interest as number 1. Mr Nasir who is a supervisor at law firm also was very professional and helpful. Not sure if spelling his name correctly but sorry if not. As far as mr Ross and the lady that runs the front desk reception I would say they are the most unprofessional and rude people I have met at a law firm in my life especially beings they were representing me. But Kathy made it overall a better experience. Thx Kathy.

Working at Phillips Law Group has been great the 1st few years in I noticed how well organized and run this Firm was from Intake to Settlement the Client has the expertise of a staff member uniquely qualified for the particular stage of each Clients claim and all other Law firms try to emulate what we do here but none quite get it right because they lack one major component “Compassion”. We are a FAMILY not just a group of people/employees. We care deeply about each other and our clients’ we are considerate, compassionate and make sure that all our Clients’ needs are met from beginning to end. That’s because we treat our clients just like we treat each other. Nothing like walking through the office and saying Hello to fellow employees who always seem to be smiling. 16yrs in and it only seems to be getting better.
