Kevin Valdez is an attorney in the Personal Injury Department at Phillips Law Group, P.C. He grew up in Maryland and received his B.A. from the University of Maryland, with a degree in History. He received his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis where he was the chair of the Diversity Committee for the Student Bar Association, a member of the Black Law Students Association, and a representative for the law school Honor Council.
During law school Kevin focused his studies on helping low-income communities, interning with Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, the Federal Public Defender for the Southern District of Illinois, and the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. After law school he was selected for a fellowship with the Equal Justice Works Public Defender Corps program. This program trained and placed lawyers in under-served public defender offices throughout the south. Kevin practiced as a public defender in Maryland and Louisiana, litigating juvenile, misdemeanor, and felony cases.
Kevin is admitted to the state bars of Maryland, Louisiana, and Arizona. He is a member of the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association. During his free time he enjoys playing music, traveling, and exploring Arizona.
