- Four-Vehicle Phoenix Car Accident Leads to One Fatality, Two Serious Injuries | Legal News | News Ticker
When a driver violates a traffic law in almost any situation, it can lead to serious problems, significant injuries, and even fatalities. When a driver makes a mistake that occurs in a crowded area, the results can be completely disastrous. Such appears to have been the case with a horrifying four-vehicle Phoenix car accident that occurred in front of a mall over the weekend.
The crash led to one fatality and to at least two critical injuries by those involved. Police are continuing their investigation of the accident.
According to authorities, this fatal Phoenix car accident occurred on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. near the Paradise Valley Mall, which is located at 4568 E. Cactus Road in Phoenix.
The driver of a pickup truck, 46-year-old Barry T. Jordan, allegedly ran a red light in the area and was moving at a high speed when he crashed into three vehicles. As a result of this collision, one female teen died in the accident and a mother and her son who were hit in their vehicle were rushed to a hospital and listed in critical condition.
Mr. Jordan was subsequently arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, aggravated assault, endangerment, and leaving the scene of a fatal collision.
Arizona Car Accident Statistics
First and foremost, we’d like to offer our most sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person who was killed, and we’d like to express our hope that the people who were critically injured are able to survive the harm they have suffered.
In addition, this Phoenix car accident will now become part of the overall statistics regarding Arizona car accidents. Every year, thousands of such crashes occur, leading to more than 65,000 injuries and to more than 1,200 fatalities.
Phoenix Car Accident Lawyers
If the available facts are accurate and the man who was arrested was driving in the manner alleged, it’s possible that the family of the teen who was killed could file an Arizona wrongful death lawsuit against the driver. It’s also possible that the people who were critically injured could file Arizona personal injury lawsuits against the same defendant.
If these claims are filed and they are successful, the plaintiffs in these matters could be awarded damages that compensate them for their losses that are both tangible and intangible in nature.
If you or someone you love has been injured in a crash, you need to seek the help of Phoenix car accident lawyers who have been holding those responsible for this type of harm accountable for many years. Contact Phillips Law Group today to schedule a free initial consultation.

I tried a few previous law firms and none would take my car accident case with confidence they could get my anything. Phillips law group took my case and although it took around 4 years to get this case settled as I was in treatment, they never let up with insurance adjusters and they got me as much money as possible. They worked hard for me and advocated for me. Shoutout to key individuals who worked my case nonstop of the years, Robert Ross & Jasmine, you are AMAZING!

Many companies talk about teamwork but few practice it. Many companies talk about an employee friendly environment but few actually provide it. At Phillips Law Group the foundation of our success is making sure we work as a team and that we work in an environment that allows everyone to thrive and be at their best every day. Our firm understands that in order for the client to have a great experience the people responsible for that client’s case must be given all the necessary tools and encouragement to make that happen. That’s the Phillips Way. As a manager of this firm in charge of several employees as well as directly affecting the client’s experience I take tremendous pride in saying we live by these premises and we work hard to build on them and make them better every day. This is an amazing place because it has amazing people working here!

It’s an Honor and a Privilege to work for a company that cares about its employees and clients for 12 years. I’ve seen Management go out of their way to help someone whether it’s a personal matter or work related. I am also reminded of many occasions where a Client needed urgent help and we as a Team were able to get the person immediate assistance. At Phillips Law we make that happen through Teamwork and a dedication to our profession. I’ve had numerous jobs in several other fields, those were just jobs. This is a home. Many of us have been here for quite a few years, it feels like one large extended family.

Working at Phillips Law Group has been great the 1st few years in I noticed how well organized and run this Firm was from Intake to Settlement the Client has the expertise of a staff member uniquely qualified for the particular stage of each Clients claim and all other Law firms try to emulate what we do here but none quite get it right because they lack one major component “Compassion”. We are a FAMILY not just a group of people/employees. We care deeply about each other and our clients’ we are considerate, compassionate and make sure that all our Clients’ needs are met from beginning to end. That’s because we treat our clients just like we treat each other. Nothing like walking through the office and saying Hello to fellow employees who always seem to be smiling. 16yrs in and it only seems to be getting better.
