Forest Lakes Accident Injures Arizona DPS Officer

A head-on collision in Northern Arizona left an Arizona Department of Public Safety officer injured in the snow. Around 3 p.m. yesterday in Forest Lakes, the DPS officer was traveling west when all of a sudden a pickup truck heading in the opposite direction lost control. The eastbound truck swerved into the officers lane and struck the officers vehicle head-on.

According to the DPS spokesperson, Carrick Cook, the officer is expected to recover, as he suffered only minor injuries to his back, hips, and leg. A spokesperson from the Forest Lakes Fire Department stated that the truck probably lost control due to the icy conditions of the roads.
