PHOENIX, AZ – One person was taken to a Phoenix hospital following a wrong-way crash on I-17 early Wednesday morning.

According to ABC 15, the head-on collision took place just after 3 a.m. along the off-ramp to Jomax Road.

The wrong-way driver evidently entered the off-ramp and collided head-on with another vehicle that was exiting the freeway. The driver responsible for the crash was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The other driver was not seriously hurt.
