PHOENIX, AZ - A woman was killed in north Phoenix Saturday evening when she was struck by a train as she walked on the tracks.
According to Fox 10 Phoenix, the unidentified woman was hit at about 6 p.m. near 27th Avenue and Thomas Road.
Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene. It is still unclear why she was walking on the tracks at the time of the incident.
