Multi-Vehicle Collision in Downtown Yuma Leaves One Dead

police line do not crossYUMA, AZ – A woman was killed in a three-vehicle collision near downtown Yuma last Thursday morning.

According to a report by KYMA, a Toyota FRS was turning left from 16th Street to Gateway Drive when it was struck by an oncoming Chevrolet Cruze. The Toyota then skidded into another lane, where it was hit by a tractor-trailer.

The driver of the Toyota, 60-year-old Cherié Boyle, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police do not believe impairment led to the collision at this time.
