YUMA, AZ – Police in Yuma have reported a single fatality resulting from a multi-vehicle collision that took place Monday night, KYMA reports.

The two-vehicle accident occurred at about 8:30 p.m. along South I-8 Frontage Road at the intersection with Avenue 10E.

Responding officers say a Ford Mustang ran a stop sign and was T-boned by a 1999 Ford van, causing the Mustang’s driver to be ejected from the vehicle.

First responders attempted life-saving measures on the woman until she could be transported to the hospital. Unfortunately, she passed away sometime later that night. She has been identified only as a 44-year-old woman.
