PEORIA, AZ – Police in Peoria have released the identity of a woman killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Sunday evening.
According to CBS 5, the collision occurred at about 9 p.m. in the area of Peoria Avenue and 89th Avenue.
Investigators say that a gray SUV was traveling west on Peoria Ave when it crossed the center median and collided head-on with an orange SUV driven by 22-year-old Nicole Classen.
Classen was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The other driver was also hospitalized with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
Police believe impairment may have been a factor in the crash. However, no charges have been filed as of Monday.
