Woman Hit, Killed by a Vehicle While Crossing Street in Phoenix

woman hit and killed by car 21st st and thomas roadPHOENIX, AZ – A woman died early last Friday after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross a busy Phoenix street, Fox 10 reports.

Police say the woman was crossing Thomas Road, near 21st Street, at or around 3:45 a.m. when she was hit by an unspecified vehicle.

The victim died of her injuries at the scene. Her identity has not been released.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. Police do not believe impairment was a factor in the crash.

Thomas Street was closed to traffic from 20th Street to 22nd Street while police investigated.
