SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Commuters were forced to find an alternate route after a major vehicle fire shut down a Loop 101 off-ramp Tuesday afternoon.
According to KTAR, a vehicle caught fire shortly before 1 p.m. on the northbound exit ramp to Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard.
It is unclear if any injuries were sustained as a result of the blaze. However, the ramp was closed for several hours as black smoke billowed out of the affected vehicle.
The exit ramp was reopened at about 4:45 p.m.
