West Valley Crash Causes Injuries, Shuts Down US 60

PHOENIX, AZ – A serious collision in West Valley this morning resulted in injuries and closed US 60/Grand Avenue in both directions, KTAR reports.

According to police in El Mirage, one vehicle rear-ended a second vehicle near the highway’s intersection with Thompson Ranch Road, causing the second vehicle to overturn. Injuries were reported in both vehicles, and at least one person had to be extricated by emergency responders.

US 60 was closed between Thompson Ranch and Primrose Road as the crash was investigated and cleared. Authorities diverted traffic to the access roads while they worked.
