TUCSON, AZ - Deputies with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) responded to the scene of a single motor vehicle collision late Monday afternoon.
The accident occurred shortly before 3:30 p.m. at milepost 4 on the Mount Lemmon Highway. According to KVOA News 4 in Tucson, the collision was originally reported as a motorcycle crash, but PCSD later issued an update correcting the earlier report.
Officials at the scene say that an adult man and woman were rushed to a local hospital to be treated for serious injuries sustained in the crash.
Information regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident remains under investigation.
