Queen Creek Collision Claims Two

QUEEN CREEK, AZ ”” Detectives from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a fatal crash that left two people dead in Queen Creek, ABC-15 Arizona reported. The collision occurred early Monday, Aug. 31 near Hunt Highway and Wagon Wheel Road, according to officials. Roads were closed for several hours. According to ABC-15, details surrounding the car accident have not yet been made public.

UPDATE: MCSO Identifies 2 Killed in Queen Creek Crash

The two people who died in a car accident in Queen Creek on Monday, Aug. 31 have been identified by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the Arizona Republic reported.

Spokesperson Sgt. Joaquin Enriquez said Christian Stewart, 27, and Dennis Ray, 33, were killed after their vehicles collided on Hunt Highway and Wagon Wheel Road at approximately 10 a.m.

As previously reported, Ray was driving a BMW on Wagon Wheel Road when his vehicle veered into oncoming traffic and struck a Chevy driven by Stewart, killing both drivers. MCSO is still investigating to determine whether driver intoxication or speed were factors.
