Crash in Phoenix Leaves Two People Dead, One Child Hurt

PHOENIX, AZ – Two people were killed and a young child was hospitalized following a multi-vehicle collision near an I-10 off-ramp early Sunday morning.

The accident occurred at about 4 a.m., when a Toyota Scion traveling south on 32nd Street collided with a Kia Optima that was exiting the freeway, according to CBS 5.

Firefighters pronounced a 41-year-old man and 36-year-old woman in the Kia dead at the scene of the crash. Their four-year-old daughter was transported to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, as were a man and a woman from the Toyota.

Police believe the Toyota’s unidentified driver may have been impaired at the time of the crash.
