Two large tractor-trailer rigs collided last Wednesday, Aug. 12 on Interstate 10 in Eloy, Arizona, causing one of the trucks to catch fire and sending two people to the hospital with injuries, according to the Arizona Republic.
The collision occurred at around 9:30 last Wednesday morning on I-10 eastbound near milepost 200, according to Bart Graves, a spokesperson for the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Graves reported that one of the trucks appeared to have rear-ended the other. The truck that caught fire was quickly extinguished, he said. One person was taken to a Chandler hospital by ambulance, while the other was flown by helicopter. Chandler is over 40 miles away from Eloy.
