Crash Outside of Phoenix Leaves Two Kids Dead, Six Hurt

WICKENBURG, AZ – Arizona Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a possible impaired driving collision that resulted in the death of two children and at least six other injuries Saturday.

According to Fox 10 Phoenix, the crash occurred when the driver of a pickup truck crossed the centerline of U.S. 93 and hit the axle of an in-tow semi-trailer. After hitting the trailer, the truck collided with a van carrying a family.

Paramedics pronounced two children, both under 10, dead at the scene. Five family members and the driver of the pickup were all transported to a local hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

No identifying information regarding those involved has been released as of Monday.
