Two Injured After Pickup Truck, Train Collide in Tempe

Stock image of train crossingTEMPE, AZ – Two people were injured and light rail service was delayed following a fiery crash in Tempe on Monday, 12 News reports.

The accident occurred sometime before noon when a pickup truck crashed into a train near Center Parkway and Washington Street.

Police say the pickup truck caught fire following the crash, injuring two occupants. One victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Fortunately, no one on the train was hurt in the crash.
