GREEN VALLEY, AZ – Three people were sent to the hospital after a wrong-way driver caused a small pileup on I-19 Tuesday morning.
According to Green Valley News, the accident was reported at about 9:35 a.m. in the northbound lanes just south of the Continental Road overpass.
Troopers with Arizona DPS say that a 93-year-old man traveling south in the northbound lanes of the highway collided with two other vehicles.
All three drivers, including a 46-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man, were taken to area hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
