CHANDLER, AZ - A woman from Texas was killed by a hit-and-run in Chandler on Friday, according to ABC 15.
Troopers were called to eastbound Loop 202 near Kyrene Road at about 11:30 p.m. that night.
They say that an Infiniti was traveling at a high rate of speed when it rear-ended a Ford SUV. The force of the impact caused the Ford to roll into an embankment.
The driver of the Ford, 47-year-old Shanna Outie of Houston, died at the scene. The Infiniti’s driver fled but was located and arrested at a Circle K the following morning.
Jhosua Resendiz-Alvarez, 28, confessed to drinking and blacking out prior to the crash. He was booked on charges of leaving the scene of a fatal accident and aggravated DUI.
