Hit-and-Run Crash in West Valley Kills Teenage Girl

ESTRELLA VILLAGE, AZ – A 17-year-old girl died as the result of a hit-and-run crash in the West Valley Monday night, ABC 15 reports.

Erin Covarrubias had been walking near 103rd Avenue and Buckeye Road when she was hit by an unidentified vehicle, which fled the scene. She was dead by the time police responded to the call shortly before midnight.

Police do not currently have a description of either the vehicle or its driver, and are urging anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact them as soon as possible.
