MESA, AZ – An 18-year-old man has been arrested after crashing into a car and killing the driver, according to AZ Central.
James Patrick Langston is suspected of having been severely intoxicated as he drove recklessly, speeding at more than 80 mph along Main Street near Gilbert Road, before crashing into another vehicle and killing its driver.
When police apprehended Langston, he showed signs of injury and smelled of alcohol, urine, and marijuana. He admitted that he had consumed an entire bottle of rum and multiple beers earlier that evening. Langston was found to have a blood-alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.27 percent, which is over three times the Arizona legal limit.
Police arrested Langston, who may be charged with manslaughter.
