Pedestrian Struck by SUV in Northwest Phoenix

pedestrian walking sign photographed against the skyPHOENIX, AZ – A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital after being struck by an SUV while crossing the road in northwest Phoenix on Wednesday night, CBS 5 reports.

The unidentified male pedestrian was hit at about 8 p.m. while crossing Thomas Road, just east of 32nd Street.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of potentially life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the SUV was not injured, and police do not believe impairment played a role in the crash.
