Six-Year-Old Crashes Car After Taking Parent’s Keys

GLENDALE, AZ – A 6-year-old child took his parent’s car keys and got into their vehicle in the middle of the night. After backing out of the driveway, the child drove the vehicle a short distance down the street and into a nearby residence early Tuesday morning.

According to ABC 15, the child crashed into a home near the intersection of 83rd Avenue and Northern Avenue sometime before 7:30 a.m.

Police say the child backed out of his home and made it past three houses before the incident occurred. The boy was not hurt as a result of the crash. However, one person in the home sustained minor injuries.

Firefighters were able to safely pull the vehicle from the home without incident.
