CHANDLER, AZ - Officials with the Arizona Department of Public Safety have reported two fatalities as the result of a pickup vs. semi collision Tuesday afternoon.
According to ABC 15, the accident occurred in the northbound lanes of SR-101 near Frye Road at about 3:15 p.m.
Police at the scene say the unidentified female driver of a pickup truck rear-ended the large tractor-trailer. Both the driver and her male passenger were fatally injured in the crash.
It is unclear whether the driver of the semi was injured.
