Scottsdale Police Seeking Out Hit-and-Run Suspect

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Police in Scottsdale are seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver responsible for a hit-and-run that seriously injured one woman and killed her dog in late September.

The crash occurred on September 26th at about 9:30 p.m., near the intersection of Thomas Road and Scottsdale Road, according to Fox 10 Phoenix. Nina Charlton, 46, was walking her dog when she was struck by a dark-colored sedan in the eastbound lanes of Thomas Rd.

Charlton sustained serious injuries in the crash including a broken leg, back, and collarbone, as well as internal bleeding. She was in a coma for several days but has since awoken. The dog was killed in the collision.

Police and family members are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward and share what they know.
