Deputies Release Identity of Scooter Crash Victim

TUCSON, AZ – Deputies with the Pima County Sheriff’s Office have released the identity of the Tucson man who was struck and killed while riding a scooter last Friday night.

According to KOLD, the accident occurred at around 10 p.m. at the intersection of San Joaquin Road and Tree Frog Trail. Initial reports reveal that 33-year-old Christopher Dering was struck by a pickup truck while riding a Razor scooter.

The impact forced Dering into the northbound lanes, where he was struck by another vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.

No charges have been filed against either driver involved in the crash at this time. Both remained at the scene and are cooperating with the investigation.
