Firefighters Rescue Car Crash Victim from Canal

daytime shot of front of firetruck PHOENIX, AZ – Firefighters in west Phoenix pulled a man from a canal following a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.

According to a report by ABC 15, a vehicle plunged into a canal near the intersection of 91st Avenue and McDowell Road and became submerged in about five feet of water.

The vehicle’s 30-year-old driver was able to get out of the car on his own but was assisted out of the canal by first responders.

The driver was in stable condition and assessed by crews at the scene. It is unclear if he was transported to the hospital for his injuries.
