Southbound State Route 87 was blocked for about five hours on Aug. 13 after a semi rolled over just south of Payson, Arizona, according to the Payson Roundup. The crash occurred early Thursday morning at milepost 233.
For reasons that are not yet known, a semi-tanker rolled, blocking both southbound lanes. The tanker was empty, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Payson Fire Department examined the tanker driver at the scene of the accident, and they found his injuries to be minor. The semi-tanker was righted with the use of a tow truck.
