NOGALES, AZ – A police officer was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a car on I-19 Thursday night,KGUN 9reports.
The officer was hit at about 8:15 p.m. while conducting traffic control on Interstate-19.
He was airlifted to a hospital in Tucson to be treated for serious injuries. The driver remained at the scene afterward. It is unclear if impairment played a role in the crash at this time.
