One Killed, Another Arrested After Scottsdale Crash

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – One man was killed, and another was arrested following a fatal two-vehicle collision in Scottsdale last month.

According to ABC 15, the accident occurred at about 9:50 p.m. on Sunday, February 20, as one vehicle was attempting to turn left onto Chaparral Road from Scottsdale Road and was struck by a southbound vehicle.

Two men were transported to a local hospital in critical condition. One of the men, 33-year-old Christopher Fernandez, succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

Police arrested the driver of the other vehicle, 27-year-old Chaz Malcolm. Malcolm has been charged with manslaughter and endangerment.
