Overnight Crash Blocks All Southbound Lanes on State Route 51

PHOENIX, AZ - Commuters were diverted around a busy section of State Route 51 for several hours following a major collision early Sunday morning, Fox 10 Phoenix reports.
The incident occurred shortly before 12:30 a.m. within the southbound lanes of the freeway near Bell Road.

State Route 51 southbound is now CLOSED at Bell Road due to this crash.
Expect delays and seek an alternate route, like Interstate 17 or Loop 101.

The circumstances leading up to the crash are unclear at this time. However, all southbound lanes were closed for nearly eight hours, reopening at 8:25 a.m.
No injuries have been reported by officials at this time.
