PHOENIX, AZ – A man was injured after a Phoenix-area apartment fire early Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out at the Bellridge Apartment complex near the intersection of 7th Street and Bell Road sometime around 2 a.m., according to CBS 5.

Firefighters arrived at the scene to find heavy smoke billowing out of one of the units. They were able to extinguish the blaze before it spread. Details regarding the severity of the man’s injuries have not yet been released.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
