TUCSON, AZ - A man died yesterday from the injuries he sustained when he was struck by a vehicle in south Tucson late last month.
According to the Arizona Daily Star, 67-year-old Jesus Felipe Grajeda was struck by a 2006 Chevrolet Aveo while attempting to cross within the 100 block of W. Valencia Road around 9 p.m. on January 25.
Investigators believe Grajeda was wearing dark clothing and was attempting to cross outside of the designated crosswalk at the time. He was rushed to Banner University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries on February 4th.
The unidentified driver involved in the fatal crash remained at the scene. It is unclear whether this person will face any charges at this time.
