South Tempe Crash Leaves One Female Pedestrian Dead

pedestrian crosses mid-block at nightTEMPE, AZ – A woman was killed Saturday night after being hit by a car while crossing a busy roadway in south Tempe, ABC 15 reports.

Investigators say the pedestrian was attempting to cross mid-block on West Broadway Road, near Roosevelt Street, when she was hit by an eastbound vehicle at about 9:45 p.m.

Emergency responders rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Her identity is being withheld pending further investigation.

No charges have been filed against the driver at this time.
