Glendale Crash Leaves One Pedestrian Dead

GLENDALE, AZ – Police in Glendale have released the identity of a man killed in a hit-and-run collision in late September, according to The Daily Independent.

Garry L. Nelson, Jr. was attempting to cross North 51st Avenue near the intersection with W. Missouri Avenue on the evening of September 28th when the 37-year-old was struck from behind by a red Cadillac and thrown into the northbound lanes of traffic. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The vehicle involved in the crash drove away without stopping and was found abandoned the next day not far from the scene. Police are still working to identify the driver responsible for the fatal crash.
