Pedestrian Killed on US-60 in Apache Junction

Apache Junction fatal pedestrian accidentAPACHE JUNCTION, AZ – A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle along a busy freeway in Apache Junction early Friday morning.

According to CBS 5, authorities received reports of a man lying in the left eastbound lane of US-60 near Meridian Road at about 4:30 a.m.

No one saw the incident take place. However, state troopers say the unidentified man was struck by a car and showed no signs of life upon their arrival at the scene.

All eastbound lanes were closed while investigators worked at the scene.
