PHOENIX, AZ – A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital Tuesday night after being struck by an SUV that had been involved in a two-vehicle collision just seconds before.
According to Fox 10 Phoenix, the man was attempting to cross near 31st Street and Thomas Road when he was struck. He was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Police say the SUV struck another vehicle before colliding with the pedestrian and then crashing into a utility pole.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the collision. They do not believe impairment was a factor.
