PHOENIX, AZ ”“ One person is dead and three are injured following a crash near the intersection of McDowell Road and 26th Street in Phoenix late Thursday night, The Arizona Republic reports.

Police discovered two heavily damaged vehicles after responding to a call at approximately 9 p.m.

Tori Rivero, 50, was speeding when she crossed the dividing line and into oncoming traffic. Her Chevy Corsica crashed into a vehicle that was carrying three people.

Emergency responders pronounced Rivero dead at the scene. The three people in the car Rivero struck were taken to a local hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.
