Suspected Drunk Driver Responsible for Fatal Phoenix Crash

police do not cross signPHOENIX, AZ – A woman was killed and three children were sent to the hospital following a crash caused by a suspected drunk driver in the Paradise Valley area on Saturday morning.

According to a report by ABC 15, a black Ford SUV collided with a red Nissan sedan near the intersection of 38th Street and Greenway Road at about 12:30 a.m.

27-year-old Crystal Garcia, a passenger in the Nissan, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she died a short time later. Three children in the Nissan were also hospitalized with minor injuries. It is unclear if the driver was hurt.

The events leading up to the crash are not mentioned in the report. However, the driver of the Ford was processed for DUI and subsequently released.
