DUI Suspect Arrested in Sahuarita Golf Cart Crash

golf cart in silhouette at sunsetSAHUARITA, AZ – A man is facing multiple criminal charges following a golf cart accident in Sahuarita that left a passenger critically injured last Friday.

According to KGUN 9, five men were riding on a two-seater golf cart within the 2000 block of East Old Stone House Trail when the driver made an abrupt turn, throwing one of the passengers from the cart.

Emergency crews were called to the scene around 6 p.m. and arrived to find the victim with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. They rushed him to the hospital.

The driver of the golf cart, 29-year-old Aric Joseph Myers, was arrested after showing signs of intoxication at the scene. He was booked into the Pima County Jail on charges of DUI, aggravated assault, endangerment and reckless driving.
