One Dead, One Injured After Single-Vehicle Crash

Stock image of emergency vehiclePHOENIX, AZ – One woman died and another was hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash in west Phoenix on Sunday morning, reports 12 News.

The incident happened at about 9 a.m., when a teenage boy lost control of the SUV he was driving near 31st Avenue and Dunlap Avenue, left the roadway, and crashed into a small block wall.

One female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. A second woman was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

It is unclear if the driver was injured in the crash. Investigators currently believe impairment may have been a factor.
