Woman Killed in Early Morning Crash in West Phoenix

Stock image of ambulance racing to scene of emergencyPHOENIX, AZ – A woman was killed following a rear-end collision in west Phoenix early Friday morning.

According to Fox 10 Phoenix, a Nissan sedan slammed into the rear of a Chrysler minivan at about 2:45 a.m. near the intersection of 71st Avenue and Thomas Road.

The driver of the Nissan, 21-year-old Itzel Delgadillow-Huerta, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The unidentified man driving the Chrysler was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say speed may be a factor in the crash. However, the cause remains unclear at this time.
