PHOENIX, AZ - A teen girl was killed as the result of a rollover collision in northeast Phoenix on Sunday night.
According to Fox 10 Phoenix, the single-vehicle crash took place at about 11:17 p.m. near the intersection of Camelback Road and 24th Street.
Firefighters say the 17-year-old girl behind the wheel of a 2004 Toyota 4-Runner ran through a red light and struck a median, causing the vehicle to overturn. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene.
Police are working to establish an official cause of the collision.
