SCOTTSDALE, AZ - One person was killed as the result of a two-car collision in Scottsdale Thursday afternoon.
According to CBS 5, the accident occurred near the intersection of McDonald Drive and Scottsdale Road at about 1 p.m.
Fire crews at nearby Scottsdale Fire Station 603 were conducting a training exercise at the time and quickly deployed to the scene. Unfortunately, one of the drivers died at the scene. The other was assessed by paramedics but did not sustain any serious injuries.
Details regarding the circumstances leading up to the crash have not been made public at this time.
