Motorcyclist Taken to Hospital After I-15 Crash

Last Thursday, two accidents on Interstate 15 north of Littlefield occurred within minutes of each another, St George News reported. A third accident near the Black Rock Exit left a motorcyclist seriously injured after he was thrown from the bike and discovered unconscious.

Police officers and emergency medical technicians were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash on northbound I-15 near the ninth mile marker involving a trike (a three-wheel motorcycle) with a rider who was seriously injured shortly after 1 p.m. Responders found that the accident took place near the Exit 8 off-ramp where they saw both the rider and the bike along the soft shoulder to the right of the roadway. A number of motorists had stopped and looked after the rider until emergency medical personnel arrived.

According to authorities, it seemed the motorcyclist was trying to exit the freeway when he lost control of the three-wheel bike and rolled several times. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and landed over 10 yards from where the two became separated.
