Update: Motorcyclist in Fatal Tucson Crash Identified

Motorcycle wheelTUCSON, AZ – A motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries in a previously reported collision involving a tow truck in northwest Tucson on Monday evening.

According to a report by the Arizona Daily Star, the motorcyclist slammed into the tow truck at about 7:30 p.m. as it was backing into a driveway on Curtis Road near Carapan Avenue.

Police say 62-year-old Charles Harter was attempting to pass the truck when he hit the rear tow. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

No additional injuries were reported as a direct result of the incident.
